Great post! I learned something new today! I didn’t realize that Twain used Paul Wirt’s handiwork. Thought it was always Conklin!

What an interesting quotation! I don’t know much about history of fountain pens, and who used which pen (or typewriter) among great writers of the past. Even today there are people who use typewriter in writing novels rather than text processor on the computer.

Thanks for the interesting bit of trivia — I knew about the Conklin endorsements.
